Our People
James K. McClelland, CPA served clients as diverse as individuals, small to large oil and gas firms, manufacturers, not-for-profit and governmental clients for thirty years. Subsequent to leaving BDO Seidman, Jim and two others formed a large local firm in 1993. In 2010, Jim formed James K. McClelland, CPA LLC. Having served in multiple church and not-for-profit entities as an officer and director, Jim believes it is the responsibility of a professional to provide support to his or her community by supporting local charitable, educational and religious organizations. Jim is presently the treasurer of the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana, Inc.
Lamar F. Baker, Jr., CPA has served a diverse group of individuals and corporate clients in a career spanning over 35 years. He has gained a reputation for excellence in serving both public and small business clients, as well as not-for-profit and governmental entities.
Brian D. Prucey, EA, MBA came to the tax preparation and accounting world after retiring from United States Air Force as an explosives and nuclear safety professional. After retiring, he worked 9 years for H&R Block as a senior tax advisor and tax training instructor. He has also served as staff accountant and controller for the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association in Shreveport. He is also an active minister having served as pastor of several Louisiana churches.

Founded on January 1, 2010, James K. McClelland, CPA LLC focuses on the client. We realize that not everything in life revolves around the checkbook. Accordingly, we seek to identify our client's needs on a holistic basis, including financial as well as spiritual. In working with our clients, we seek to help them achieve their financial goals and enable them to fulfill their life purposes also.
